1. Acceptance of Terms

By accessing this website or booking services with Karen Hoinke photography, you to be bound by these Terms & Conditions. If you do not agree, please do not use this website or services.

2. Services

Karen Hoinke photography provides professional photography services including, but not limited to:

  • Portrait sessions

  • Family photography

  • Branding photography

  • Events

  • Commercial photography

  • Print and digital image sales

Specific details will be outlined in a separate written agreement or booking confirmation.

3. Booking & Payment

  • A retainer or deposit is required to secure your session date.

  • The retainer is non-refundable unless otherwise stated in writing.

  • Remaining balances must be paid by the deadline specified in your invoice or contract.

  • Failure to pay may result in cancellation of services.

We reserve the right to refuse service for unpaid balances.

4. Cancellation & Rescheduling

  • Clients must provide at least 24 hours notice to reschedule.

  • Rescheduling is subject to availability.

  • Late cancellations or no-shows may forfeit the retainer.

  • In the event of photographer illness, emergency, or unsafe conditions, services may be rescheduled or refunded at our discretion.

5. Client Responsibilities

Clients agree to:

  • Arrive on time for scheduled sessions

  • Obtain necessary permissions for locations

  • Ensure minors are supervised

  • Follow safety instructions

  • Provide accurate information for bookings

The photographer is not responsible for missed images due to late arrival or lack of cooperation.

6. Image Delivery

  • Delivery timelines vary by session type and will be communicated in advance.

  • Images are delivered via an online gallery or agreed method.

  • RAW (unedited) images are provided digitally.

  • Editing style is at the photographer’s artistic discretion.

7. Copyright & Usage

All images remain the intellectual property of Karen Hoinke photography right law.

Clients receive a personal-use license only, unless otherwise agreed in writing.

Clients may:

  • Share images on social media

  • Print images for personal use

  • Use images for personal websites

Clients may NOT:

  • Sell images

  • Alter images beyond basic cropping

  • Apply filters or edits

  • Use images for commercial purposes without written permission

Commercial licensing must be purchased separately.

8. Photographer Portfolio Use

Karen Hoinke photography reserves the right to use images for:

  • Portfolio display

  • Website galleries

  • Social media

  • Advertising and marketing

  • Competitions and publications

If you prefer your images not be used, a written request must be submitted prior to the session. Additional fees may apply.

9. Limitation of Liability

While every effort is made to deliver high-quality images, Karen Hoinke photography is not liable for:

  • Unforeseen circumstances beyond control

  • Equipment failure

  • Weather conditions

  • Venue restrictions

  • Acts of God

  • Missed moments due to client actions

In the unlikely event images are lost or damaged, liability is limited to the amount paid for services.

10. Website Use

All content on this website — including images, text, and design — is the property of Karen Hoinke photography and may not be copied, reproduced, or distributed without written permission.

Unauthorized use may violate copyright, trademark, and other laws.

11. Third-Party Links
